3 Things to Learn from Pro Bodybuilders

I have been working out for more than 16 years in a row. There’ve been times when I have had breaks in between but I have always gotten back to the gym and made sure that I get back to where I was when I left. I’ve also seen some great bodybuilders like Dorian Yates, Branch Warren, Phil Heath workout. I thought it would be great to share 3 most important things I’ve learned while training over the years:

Remove Distractions

 

As soon as you step in the gym, it’s war time. Forget about all things and concentrate on your workout. Your only focus should be the routine that you have to follow. No mobile phones and no chit chat in between sets should be the normal rule.

I see so many people texting in between sets or even taking selfies. This is just plain ridiculous. You can text as much as you like or take as many selfies as you wish once you are done with your routine but in between the workout it should be a complete NO GO!

There’s No Replacement For Intensity 

You name any pro whether it be Dorian, Branch or Neil, they all train f***ing hard and that’s the way it should be. You have to have an intense workout. There’s no other way to build a great body and make yourself different from all the other guys working out at the gym.

 

Stop Playing With Pink Dumbbells! 

Form is extremely important not just to get the right results but also to avoid getting all those kind of injuries. You just don’t have to use momentum to aimlessly swing weight around and even if you do, it’s not going to help you build muscle. However, it does not mean that you don’t have to go heavy. Forget about those little pink dumbbells in the corner of your gym and go heavy.

Try to lift as much weight as you can keeping your form right. That’s the only way you can put your muscles under stress to ensure muscle damage, recovery and growth.

So, here are three things that you need to keep in mind if you want to workout like a pro and get a body that’ll make other green with envy.
